Baking with Fauve!

I'm baaack, haha and we're making brownies!

Today I'm going to double the recipe because it's my mom's birthday and it's to give at her job. I'm going to write the amount you guy's will need but just remember mine is going to look like more because it is okay haha. Let's get started!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ingredients :

200g Sugar
75g Flour
60g Cacao Powder
3 eggs
170g Butter
125g dark chocolate
A pinch of salt
15x30 baking form

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You guys go and get your ingredients we're about to do this together and were doing it in steps, let's get down to business!

1. Pre heat the oven at 180°C (356°f)

2. Mix sugar, flour and cacao powder together.

3. Melt the butter and add it to the dry mix you just made.

4. Now add the eggs and salt in until everything is turned into a smooth mixture (mine wasn't that smooth so you might want to
sieve the cacao powder).

5. Cut the chocolate in to pieces and add it to the mixture.

6. Butter up your baking form and put the mixture in to it.

7. Bake the brownies for about 25-30min and then check with a stick to see if it's ready. I'm a paranoid baker today because I want to be perfect so I put it in for 20min then check if it's dry. Mine was dry after 20min so I turned the oven off and let it in for another
5min, if yours is not ready let it in and check it every 5min,
because in my oven everything takes less time and yours might need a bit more.

8. Now let it cool down and then you can cut it and serve the brownies. (Mine are in a box, for my mom her colleagues at work!)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The only thing left to do is to enjoy your brownies with you friends, colleagues, family or just by yourself (not all at once haha). Hope you enjoyed baking today and I 'll see you soon with a new blog! Go ahead and follow me on bloglovin' or by email, google+, ect if you want to have updates when I post!

Film Photography ♡

Hi!
Today I wanted to talk about photography! More about film photography because I've got a new camera! Well not really new. It was one of my dad's camera's he bought when he was younger which he gave to me now because I'm in to photography. It's a praktica super TL2. When I received it a couple of years ago I was actually not in to it as much anymore, but now that I got back into it with my digital camera, I decided to take a look in the box again and boy o boy was I glad. There are a couple of things in it but this one camera looked so cool! I just had to use it, but how? It's an old camera and my dad was at work and I wanted to know how to use is ASAP! What do you do when you want to learn? Youtube! I searched and found, not the camera that I have but other old camera's which pretty much is almost the same way to use. I noted down everything I needed to know searched some more info and then the only thing I needed was new film.

The film that was in the box was overtime since.. 1988! 29 years overtime, older then me haha! I couldn't find anything online that said that it was fine to use and my dad said : "You can try but the pics might not develop right." so I went to the store to buy some new once. How I chose the new ones? Again I went on youtube to see some vids. I didn't want to get anything to expensive so I watched a video that compared the cheaper once and I was doubting between the kodak color plus 200 & agfa vista 200. To be honest I doubted between those 2 but before that I was thinking to get kodak gold 200 and then I was doubting to get kodak portra 400 and lomography 400. Just because I saw 2 vids that compared the two 400 ones and I wanted them as well but I thought for startes let's just try a cheaper one. On Monday I went to a shop and I couldn't find any of them :(. They only had one pack of 3 film rolls left so I could've been patient and waited to search further on Tuesday but I already had my camera with me and we were going to the beach to take pictures so I thought "Let's just take this one and see, the pictures might turn out good." and that's what I did. The film roll that I went for is the fujifilm superia color 200 and it was about €10 for three rolls.

I was shooting with a standard lens, the camera did have a zoom lens but when my cousin was younger my dad let him choose what he wanted and I think he took an old camera and the zoom lens. Now I think I'm gonna ask it back because he is a busy person now anyways, still busy with movie's/video's and photography professionally now so I think I can get it back, well I hope so anyways. My dad also has filters for on the lens and I only found one of them and I haven't taken pics with it yet but I put it on and watched trough the lens and it looked cool! If you want to keep an eye out for my pictures go check out my instagram (fauve.c.photos) where I will be posting these film pictures on, as well as my digital pictures.

Yesterday, so last week Wednesday for you reading this, I brought in the film roll and it takes 5 workdays until I get them back so that had to be about this week on Wednesday. I went on Wednesday and they weren't in yet.. I'm so excited and impatient to see them, I just want to know if they worked out good, if they look good ect. *UPDATE ; It's now Friday and I've got them, some of them came out great and some of them didn't. How the color is on the pictures, isn't my favorite but it's fine they do still look good. It was about €6,50 to develop them and print them, I did my at Hema. I'll probably post them next week on my instagram.* I honestly still love taking pictures with my digital camera because I have a zoom lens, I can see the pictures immediately, I don't have to think to much about the shots because can get a lot of shots on it and delete the bad ones. Yeah so I still love it but with a film camera it's just cooler and the vibe is different as well, you need to get that good shot, you can't check, if I have the zoom lens back I could get even cooler shots I bet, a wide lens could be cool as well, you have to check everything yourself you have to make a bigger effort. It's new for me and I love learning so I'm having so much fun with this. Even if the pictures don't come out good, I'll still work on it until it's the way I like it.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Follow me on bloglovin' or by email, google+, whatever if you want to keep updated! If you have a dream or a passion and don't know if you should try it because it's to much of a risk and you don't have time. DO IT, life's to short to not do what you love!

Positive Change!

Hey hey!

I wanted to talk today about change. There are a lot of things that change in life. As example look back at 10 years from now, are you the same? No. Even if you just look back 2 years ago, you have changed. That can be in a good way or in a bad way. That's something you have to look in to. I've changed, a lot! I am more open as a person which I love, I'm trying to be less anxious which I feel like slowly but surely is working. I want to get out in the world again, do dumb but fun things again, make mistakes again! Things I wouldn't have thought of even just 1 years ago. Around the age of 14-18 I've been very anxious, that's where it kind of started, always thinking what could go wrong and blocking myself for doing stuff. Today, I'm still 18, I still feel like that any time I have to go out in the real world and in a world like this one right now it's hard to think that nothing is ever gonna happen, but the thing that is making me want to do more again is that as well! You don't know what is gonna happen and when, so I'm kind off thinking F**** IT! Do more! Be you! Enjoy life again. Not that I wasn't enjoying life and everything but I mean enjoy more with new people, get to know people and their story's! Learn. I love learning in any kind of way so that's something I want to do my whole life! Learn new things and do new things ect.

As I said I'm more open and I love it, with that I mean I'm open to meet new people and not that they have to come to me but I will go to them if I feel like it. I was a very VERY shy person when I was younger and even around new people that I meet through other people that I know, I honestly still am. So how am I still shy yet I dare to go talk to strangers? When I go up to a stranger I'm thinking this "this could be a really awkward moment that passes by slow but I'll never see this person again so it's cool" or "this could be the beginning of a new fresh friendship" and yeah I'm ready to take that risk and seeing which one it is. I used to find awkward moments really cringy but now I embrace it and I mean yeah it still makes me cringe but I don't mind it as much anymore.

Okay but what else is changing in my life? A couple of things that I enjoy doing so much right now that I kind of picked up again is first of all this blog! I love blogging I don't know why I took that break even though there aren't a lot of people reading this, I don't care! I do it for me and that's so important doing things because you want to because you have fun doing it. I love writing about things because I love it when people listen and when I was about 16 I started writing a book but I haven't been at it for a while and I missed writing but now I have this blog so I'm enjoying it so much. I don't know if I should write that book further or start a new one or just stop, haha. The second thing I picked back up is, my sister and I our youtube channel we took a long break of that as well but now we are back, had feedback that we are better and we are having so much fun doing it. Even editing, I love doing that as well! Another completely new thing I've been wanting to do for a while now, when this will get posted it will be going on for a week already and it's a new instagram! With pictures of people, nature, dogs, I hope it will be a bit of a success because I'm totally behind it. I was scared of starting it because I know I don't take the best pictures ever but I enjoy taking pictures so much and going out there and seeing what I can use. I know their are a lot of better people out there doing youtube, blogs and instagram stuff but I like doing it and in life someone will almost always "be better" but as long as you enjoy it with all your heart, who cares? If someone is trying to bring you down with that? Then they should take a look in the mirror.

Let me think about what else that has changed in my life. I've cut connection with a friend at the end of 2016. Was it hard? Yes. Why do it then? Because I feel like it was the best for me either way. Not because of the people telling me she doesn't "deserve" me because I didn't really feel that way but just because I feel like if I would've kept that friendship, I would always have something extra holding me back or down I don't know. Yes she was a good friend for me at times but our last "fight" really drew the line for me, because in my head, if I kept that friendship I would always end up feeling like shit. Also because of that I thought my own brother saw me like that as well but then I had a long dramatic talk with him. Thanks to that talk, even though I was being dramatic, I felt better. Happy, that he didn't see me as "less then" or "shit" I guess. I love my siblings and parents so much and I'm in a way so proud of where we are today, it might not be picture perfect but it's perfectly in-perfect for me, haha!

Something else I've changed or I mean am trying to change again is my lifestyle, wake up early, eat healthy, work out, lose weight. I got ill a couple of weeks ago and then I couldn't do all of that anymore and now I feel almost 100% again, so I want to work out and be healthy again to make myself feel 100%. Yeah I'm ready to make that change, again, haha!

Lastly I would like to say is that.. their is no age on change, yeah when you're young it's easier to make mistakes and change it because you have less responsibilities but when you're older you're still human! YOU WILL MAKE MISTAKES. Want to change it? Change it! Want to change yourself, do it! Do whatever makes you happy and positive change will most likely always make you a happier person which will also make you a better person.

So yeah, life is full of change and when people used to tell me "Fauve, you've changed.." I took it in a negative way but if someone were to tell me that now I would look at them and smile and answer "Exactly." This might have been a long post but I'm proud of it and I hope it changed some of you :) and in the theme of change I'll leave you with this quote by Ghandi ; Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Fauve♡

Jeffree Star's Unicorn Blood Review

Hi, I know it's been a while and I have no excuse either.. I have been spending a lot of time with my sister on our youtube channel. If you want to check that out search "Fauve&Sarah" or click this link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpiKGAm1dEcAOUiFoFQsY6w .

Okay, so for christmas I've got the Jeffree Star liquid lip in the shade unicorn blood (from Stéphanie). I've been thinking about getting it for a while but never got to the buying part, haha, so getting it for christmas was kind of great! I'm going to say how I feel about it but keep in mind I only have this color but I assume that it's pretty much the same sort of feel for the rest of the colors. Now let's get into the review.

Everyone knows the color unicorn blood right? If you heard of Jeffree Star before I'm pretty sure you've heard of the color. It's one of the most popular colors of his liquid lips. When I got it I was super excited of course, she packed it in a book and I don't like reading so much so I was like huh? Then I opened it and I was surprised but I already thought it could be that because she was buying a lot from Jeffree for a while and it made sense. How she's put it in a book? She cut the shape of the little box out of a thick book and also cut a space for a new eyeliner for me as well. Which by the way I've been loving if you're searching a new eyeliner look for 'L'Oréal Paris, super liner, so couture' it's so easy to work with perfect for that winged liner look!

Okay sorry I need to get back on track about the liquid lip. I saw it and it was so cool to be able to hold something you only see online! The packaging is pretty and I'm so happy that it's cruelty-free. The actual packaging of the liquid lip is also cool, honestly I don't like the packaging color so much but I wouldn't want it any other way either because then it wouldn't be Jeffree Star, haha. The stars on the bottle are sort of rose gold which I love!

The wand is a perfect angle to put on your lips. I just tried it on again and I only had to dip once! So just pull it out put it on and you're good! I use the tip to line it and it works perfect and it goes on sooooooo smooth. It's kind of oily so it doesn't dry your lips out!! I wore it on new years eve and my lips were not dry at all. The color I like because I'm not the biggest fan of red on my lips but I feel like this red would just work for everyone? It's not like a BAM look at these red lips, it's darker then the normal red lipsticks, so yeah that's a plus for me. After waiting for it to dry a couple of minutes I just kissed the back of me hand and a little came of but I feel like that's just in the crease between the lips and not the lips it self, so its stays on good! I take that back I've waited longer and kissed my hand again and a little still comes of so it stays on pretty good but not amazingly but good enough. It does say 'no making out' so I would listen to that because if you drag it with your fingers it does smudge. Now the smell of it I don't like, I mean it's not that it's bothering but now as I just put it on I smell it a bit and I don't know how you could do it different but it's just a little thing I noticed. It's also the only thing I don't like about it, the smell. Otherwise I love it! I really do love it because it doesn't dry your lips out, the color is beautiful, it looks amazing, it goes on so smooth, there is a good amount of product in it, it comes of easy! Like the smell doesn't make me not want wear it because when it's dry you don't smell it anymore and other people don't feel the same way as me about the smell either, so yeah, Jeffree Star liquid lip in the color unicorn blood is a must have or think about getting it for make-up lovers and collectors! The last thing I'll do is swatch it on my sisters skin and my mothers skin because my mom has darker skin then us. I did ask my sister to smudge hers so you could see the small amount that does smudge a bit, but on your lips if you don't touch it, it will stay in place.

I hope you enjoyed this post and it helped you if you were thinking about getting it but never got to it! Now if you live in Europe I wouldn't just buy one thing if you only want one thing okay but if you're sure about one and are thinking about getting something else do it all at once so you only have to pay customs fees once. I have heard there is another site where you can get the real products for Europe and such. That's it! I'll be back with a new post soon. Byee.
