Go To Makeup I Use

Let's talk about makeup! Today I'm going to tell you guys what I use, when I do my makeup. I almost never do it, only when I feel like it. You honestly don't need to wear makeup everyday. You're beautiful just the way you are, but if you want to, go a head! You do whatever you want to and don't let anyone tell you different!

This is my makeup bag, now let's see what go to makeup is inside! I'm going to show you everything I put on for a casual look and I'll show you some things I put on when I want to put on more. I do my makeup how I learned from youtube video's, but makeup is just fun to play with you know, so just have fun with it!

I wash my face every morning and moisturize it and then when I want to put makeup on, I start with this primer. This isn't the greatest primer, but it's fine I guess. This one's from catrice cosmetics and it's called prime and fine, pore refining anti-shine base. I don't really think it refines my pores well, so I'll look for a new one until I find one I'm happy with.

That's the thing with makeup, you have to keep testing things out until you're happy with it. Don't settle for something less, because you're probably going to use makeup for a long time.

After the primer is dry I'll put on some foundation all over my face and some concealer underneath my eye's. These 2 are almost both empty so I'll have to get new ones. I really like these but I think the foundation has a pink undertone so I'm going to test out a new one. I am really happy with it though, but I think I'll find better. The concealer I love, I had it forever. The foundation is from rimmel london, it's called 'wake me up, anti-fatigue foundation', skin brightening, vitamin C, SPF 15 and it's in color 400 natural beige. I don't remember the brand and color of the concealer.

This step I only do if I want a contour you can see really good. I haven't got out to look for a contour palette but I had some dark foundation laying around and it works well for the moment. I'm not complaining and it's working so I just use this where you would normally contour.

These are the powders that I use to set everything a bit. First I use the right one, on the pic below, on my whole face to set the foundation and for the concealer I use the big grey one, on the pic above, to 'bake' it. The left one, on the pic below, is to contour or I put it above the liquid contour to set it and contour more. Now the names of the products the grey one is a translucent powder from when my sister went to school, I can't really read the name well so if you want to know you can click on it and read it. The left one to contour, on the pic below, is from rimmel london and it's called natural bronzer. It's a waterproof bronzing powder with SPF 15, in color 026 sun kissed. The right one, on the pic below, is a compact powder, transparent, REF. : 5834, Gay Whisper and it's from Vivet cosmetics.

After my face is done I do my eyebrows. I start with what's on the right some brow powder. I mix the 2 colors and then I fill them in and after that I blend the front a bit so that it's not to boxy. Then I take what's on the left, a brow control and shape gel, to set everything so that it stays in place all day. The powder is from catrice cosmetics and the gel is from eylure.

Now the eyes! For a natural look I use the absolute matt eyeshadow palette from catrice cosmetics and I use the third and fourth color so the middle ones. Then I put a fine line with this small liner. I have no idea where it's from, it's my mom her eyeliner and I use it all the time. I wish I knew the name because I'll need a new one but I have no idea.. Then I curl my lashes, I have the smallest lashes ever! I really need to buy lashes or do lash extensions or something. I use NYC lengthening mascara Sky Rise, they really do give my lashes some length.

The I put on some highlight! I don't know why I do that as one of the last steps, but I do. A friend of mine gave it to me because she didn't like it or didn't know how to use it. I love it, it gives me a golden shine. I think it's from catrice cosmetics and it's called prime and fine. Highlighting powder for a luminous glow. I also put this NYC intense lip color on. It's not the same color as on the picture, it's a softer color.

To finish it all of with some mac, prep and prime, fix +. I've heard some bad things from mac, that they test on animals, so I'll need to look in to that more, but this is the only thing I bought from mac and I like it. A good friend of our family also bought me some lipstick from mac, but besides that I don't have anything.

This was it, my go to makeup that I use. I hope you enjoyed and liked it, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Follow my blog to be updated whenever I post a new one!

Traveling Gifts

For my 18th birthday I've got some traveling gifts from my sister, so I'm going to show you a couple of things I've got! This might give you some ideas to buy for someone who wants to start traveling more.

On the left is a scale to weigh your suitcase with, so you hang your suitcase on it and then you can see how much it weighs to take with you. It also has a measuring tape in it that you can pull out. On the right is a belt to put around your suitcase, the one I've got is pink and says "DO NOT TOUCH MY LUGGAGE".

These are such cute things. On the left is a passport cover, I haven't got mine yet but it's still cute. It has little flamingos on it! On the right is a photo book, everyone needs that, all the memories you make on vacation you put in it. We have loads that our parents made with us when we were younger as well.

For all the long rides or the long flights this will come in handy! A neck pillow, great for traveling.

Now I only need to go on a vacation and use all of this! I hope you enjoyed this small post and I'll be back soon with a new one!

My Hair Care Routine

Hello! Today is all about hair, so let's just jump right in to it.
I wash my hair twice a week, because washing it a lot is not good for your hair. You actually don't need a lot to take care of your hair. There are very natural ways you can take care of it. Sometimes people don't even need shampoo to wash it, but I'm going to show you what I use when I wash hair.

This is all I use in my hair at the moment, when I wash it. Normally I don't use all of this, the two small tubes that are almost empty I use because I colored my hair not long ago and it helps fix it and keep the color in. The hair mask really feeds your hair a lot! A little really goes a long way. I let it sit for 3minutes and then rinse it. I really like it. The shampoo is great as well. I really like everything I use and none of it is expensive. You can find these in pretty much any store they sell hair products in or even grocery stores.

Now this is what I would normally use in my hair when I had not color it yet and after the little tubes from the coloring pack are empty I'm going back to this. When I put shampoo in my hair, I always concentrate it on my scalp and not too much on the ends of my hair. I do concentrate the conditioner more on my ends and I try to put NONE on my scalp, that prevents my hair to get greasy.

After all that I get out off the shower and towel dry my hair. Then I take these two, first I spray the right one in my hair and concentrate that on the ends. It's an oil spray and it repairs the split ends. Then I take the left one (which is pretty much empty!) and spray that on my hair but I don't want it on my scalp. This one protects the hair from heat and it's good for the keratine in my hair. You can also find these in any hair stores or grocery store. I don't know the prices because it's been a while that I bought these but I'm pretty sure it's not expensive.

After doing all that I blow dry my hair and then I style it however I want to. I have dry and mixed hair so this works for my hair and if you have the same kind of hair like me (pic. in blog about straightener) it will work as well. Find whatever works for you hair and try new things out! As I said in the beginning, you don't even need all of this. As an example, a friend of mine told me you can take your natural hair grease and put that on the ends of your hair and then just wash your hair with water. There are so many tips and tricks out there! This is what I do and like and if it ever change I'll make a post about it. I might try the natural way once and let you know what I think about it. As for now I'll leave it at this. Hope you enjoyed!

My Skin Care Routine

Let's talk about skin care!

I used to have really bad skin but now it's so much better. I wash it in the morning and at night and eating cucumbers also helped a lot for me. There are 5 things I use but not all at once! Somedays I use micellar water in the morning and a mask at night or a scrub in the morning and micellar water at night, it all depends on the day. I just do whatever I feel like and put it on my face, but I have really dry skin so whatever I do, I ALWAYS put some nivea creme on my face after.

Here you have some micellar waters that I use, Mixa sensitive skin expert. I bought these at a store called 'Di'. I'm pretty sure you can find this almost in any beauty shop that has a lot of different brands. Yes, most people use it to take of makeup and I do that as well but it works fine to just clean your face as well. The left one is for sensitive and reactive skin and the right one is for sensitive skin and redness on the skin These were about € 6,99 (£ 5,96 & $ 7,72).

This is the scrub that I use. Nivea daily cleansing scrub. You can find this in pretty much any shop. I found this in a grocery shop here in Belgium, 'Colruyt' for € 6,47 (£ 5,52 & $ 7,14)

Face masks! I love them, they're great for pamper night with friends or even just to treat yourself to one. The blue one is an anti-stress mask with dead sea minerals, it purifies & clears pores and the color is blue. I found this one in the 'Kruidvat' but I'm sure you can find it pretty much anywhere. The price was € 3,99 (£ 3,40 & $ 4,40). The white one's amazing as well. It's an hydrating mask made with argan oil, it really hydrates my face so well. The color of the mask is white. I don't know the price because it was a gift and they found it at the store 'Di'.

I hope this helped some of you and as I said eating cucumbers really helps as well! Take care of your skin everyone, boys and girls. I'll be back soon with a new blog!

Easy Summer Ice Cream Snack

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to show you how you can make a delicious snack. It's fun to do with children and adults as well of course! Let's start with everything we need.

 So you'll need :
  • ice cream form
  • a mixer
  • yoghurt
  • sugar
  • a banana

It's really one of the easiest and quickest things to do. I do everything by eye, so I'll show some pictures of the amount I put in. The ice cream forms I found in a store called 'Action' you can find that in Belgium & the Netherlands, and it was only about € 1. Also I will only make enough for three ice creams. Okay, let's start!

On the left picture is the amount of yoghurt I put in & on the right picture I added banana and sugar. If I had to guess, I would say one tablespoon of sugar. Then you go and mix it all together!

Now you just fill in the cups, put the lids on and put it in the freezer. I let it set all night but I'm pretty sure that if you make it in the morning, you could already eat it in the afternoon.

Now to get it out, it was kind of tricky. The first time I made these my friend and I just couldn't take it out and we pulled the lid out without the ice cream. Then I was like, if I put it in a cup of hot water..

It worked and they came out great and delicious! I hope you guys enjoyed and try to make this at home because it's really good for summer. I don't even think it's that unhealthy and it tastes really good!

REMINGTON Keratin Therapy Pro Straightener

Hello, so the other day my sister was straightening my hair and our straightener broke. It's an old one we had since forever! We had to buy a new one and the one who caught our eye was the Remington, Keratin Therapy Pro Straightener. We were interested in that one because it said Keratin Therapy and we like keratin for our hair so we bought it. It was € 60 (£ 51 / $ 66), a good price.

In the box it has a heat resistant mat & pouch which you can put the straightener in. You can heat the straightener up to 230°C (446°F) and the lowest is 160°C (320°F). The heat settings makes light when you turn it on, so you can see it. It takes about a minute to heat up (to 230°C).

A cool thing about this straightener is that it has an exclusive heat protection sensor, so when you push on the button to activate that it will always stay at the heat that you selected and never go over. It cools itself down so you won't break your hair to much. On the picture below you can see the sensor. It's the black line in the middle. There is only one on this side the other side is just pink.

Now let's talk about the ceramic plates on the straightener. The plates actually give off a bit of keratin, but don't worry! It won't make your hair greasy or anything. Keratin is a protein and it's already in your hair, it's what makes your hair stronger and when you have less keratin in your hair, you're hair will probably be weaker. Now bc there is keratin that will go on/in your hair, it will make your hair stronger and shinier.

Here you can see the buttons, the brown arrow shows you the one to just turn it on, the white one shows you a '+ / -' button to turn the heat up or down and the grey arrow show you the button to turn on the heat protection sensor. On the picture next to it you can see a little lock, so when you want to put it in the bag you push the straightener close and put the lock up and voila, ready to put away.

Now let's see a before and after picture of my hair. (No edit at all on the pictures)

As you can see it does a good job! I'm mixed so I have a bit of European hair with African hair. I didn't add anything in my hair so the shine is there thanks to the keratin. I dyed my hair a lot the past weeks, so it broke a lot! This did really help feed my hair and get it back to what it was before. Some coconut oil helps as well but I don't put that in my hair a lot anymore bc I have this straightener now. This straightener is up to 57% more protection vs a standard ceramic remington straightener.

Now I do have one complain about this straightener, yes I do have a dislike about it, it's that when you're doing you hair it pulls out some hairs. Yes, so between the heat protection sensor and the ceramic plates next to it, that's where some hairs get stuck. That kind of sucks, but for the rest I don't have any complains. Everyone who needs a new straightener! This might be the one for you.

I Heart Makeup Death by Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette

There are 3 kinds of chocolate palettes of I heart makeup (that I know about), the white chocolate, brown chocolate and dark chocolate palette. I only bought the dark chocolate one, so today I'm going to talk about the 'Death By Chocolate' eye shadow palette.

White Light / Don't Let Go / Break Me Up / Consume Me /All Is Lost
Lick Me/Fool's Gold/One More Bar/Devour Me/Tear the Wrapper/Love You to Death
Pray for Me / Dipped / Tease Me / Set Me Free / Bring Down Angels

I really like brown, earthy colors, so this palette is perfect for me. There are matt colors and shiny colors, so you can do a lot of looks with it! For casual days I like to use the color, Break Me Up & Lick Me. For more special days I will use Break Me Up, One More Bar and Don't let go or any other glittery color. Sometimes instead of One More Bar I use Lick Me for a lighter look and of course as a highlight under the brow and in the inner corner of the eye you can use White Light or Bring Down Angels. I do like to use a gold color like Fool's Gold as well for my inner corner.

As you can see the pigments are great and they are very easy to blend as well, so that's great!

I'm pretty sure you can find this in a drugstore close to you and the price is not high at all. I found mine in a store in Belgium, 'Kruidvat', which you can find in The Netherlands as well. Wherever you find it I think the price should be between € 7,99 & € 9 (£ 6,85 & £ 8 / $ 8,85 & $ 10). I think that's a good price for that many colors.

I recommend this palette for anyone, makeup is fun to play with for everyone and this palette is good for when you just started getting in to makeup or if you have been into it for a while and looking for a new palette!

I hope you enjoyed my first blog and I'll be back soon with a new one!
